{this moment} A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. @ Lou: The annual leaf pick-up is an annual highlight for us.
@Ana: Thanks for the comment on the City post. As for leaves, I didn't have that growing up, so I'm living it now.
@ Patty: The next step is for front-loaders to come and put the leaves in dump trucks to be carried away to the city compost. It's quite spectacular -- an annual event the boys talk about all year.
In all the years I've lived in Michigan, I don't think I have ever seen a leaf pile that large. I think my toddler would just be scared of it because of it's HUGE size.
that is a whole lot of leaves!
ReplyDeleteWow. We NEVER see the likes of a pile of leaves that size here in Sydney. I can only imagine how fun that would be...
ReplyDeleteWow! What fun! Someone could get lost in that. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! A mountain of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is huge! I have many fun memories of jumping into leaf piles as a kid.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I loved your Living in the City post.
Holy cow! Was it burned or vacuumed up?!
ReplyDeleteIt's the best way to have fun, out in the open enjoying nature. Love it!

ReplyDeleteWow. that is not one big pile is it?
ReplyDeleteIs there a truck or something propping it up? It's crazy huge! My daughter would love it.
Ps. We get the city leaf vacuums bi-weekly throughout fall close into the Holiday season.
