Not long after the photo above one of our adventurers' party melted down and we returned home without reaching our goal.

  1. This looks like so much fun. Its something we've always wanted to try.

  2. @Amanda: It's really easy and a lot of fun. We found 75 caches within 5 miles of our house. I'm going to write a blog entry about the experience, so stay tuned (only partially a shameless plug).

  3. I'm excited to read your upcoming blog posts. Geocaching is a hobby of one of my friends, and we wanted to give this a try last summer, but ran out of time. It is a great family activity, and both my teen and 3rd grader could find the caches together. This is on my must-do list this summer, as we have many, many caches hidden in our neck of the woods too. (Actually, we wanted to try this on one of our trips to Florida, but forgot all about it once we got to Savannah! Caches are hidden everywhere in the US, and I thought it would be fun to take this hobby "on the road"...)Sure beats heraring "Are we there yet?" every 10 minutes.
